CONFUSION

It's been a while since i have written anything. I was stunned by the midterm elections and did not know what to say without cussing. I'm not sure what people that vote are voting for anymore but do know that a lot of votes were for things that are destroying our country. The cities of New York, Rochester and Buffalo are experiencing very high crime rates that have grown in the last 2 years, but the voters voted for the governor that insists that letting those arrested for heinous crimes be released without bail. We have seen those released repeat their crimes over and over and have committed murder and assault when they should have been behind bars but apparently the majority of voters in New York want this to stay as the status quo. The same problem exists in Maryland with Baltimore and Pennsylvania with Philadelphia, but the voters elected to not do anything about the problem by removing those that have installed the system that gives criminals more freedom than residents. At the same time all of these cities have reduced the police budgets and have prosecuting attorneys that will not charge many of those being arrested. We have seen many shops and drug stores leave cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles because of the shop lifting problem and the lack of politicians and DAs of prosecuting these crimes. If fact stealing less than $1000. is not a crime any more in many cities. I'm confused!

About 5 million illegal aliens have invaded the US in the last 2 years and there is no effort by the US administration to stop it or help the people being overrun. Watching a Texas rancher that is situated on the border with Mexico explain how he is being the travel lanes for the illegals who create a lot of damage and prevent his children from being outside was something that I never thought could happen in the US. The US government is allowing Americans and their property to be invaded by other countries without any attempt to stop it.Their requests for help to stop the traffic and pay for damage has been silently ignored and in fact the President is trying to remove a law that requires aliens to remain in Mexico until their cases come up. This could cause an increase of up to 30% in the number of illegal crossings into our country. While we have a huge problem with homeless and poor that are undernourished, we are giving the illegals aid in medical, food and clothing that our own citizens are able to get. The new spending bill in Congress has money to protect the borders of 5 foreign countries such as Jorden but specifically denies any money to continue the border wall or hire more border agents for our country. I'm confused!

While oil drilling and some gas drillings have been stopped or licenses have been refused, we are buying oil from foreign countries. The Keystone pipeline was shut down so that Warren Buffet's railroad could haul the Canadian oil. So, let's get this straight. The President has elected to burn oil in trains to transport oil instead of transferring it through a pipeline to reduce energy use. I'm confused!

Abortion seemed to be a big issue because the Supreme Court said that it was not mentioned in the Constitution but should be decided by individual states. The court did not make abortion illegal but moved it to state government control and by the voters in that state which is a definition of democracy. Many people voted as abortion was the only issue to think about and most of those voters would never have an abortion or could not because they were men. It was advertised as total abolition of abortion or killing babies rather than returning to the voting public where it should have been all the time. Killing someone is a state problem as in the death penalty which will be extended to babies in some states. I'm confused!

I have been registered as both a republican and a democrat at different times in my life but voting was never about a party but the candidate and his or her campaign promises. I voted for law and order and a closed border in the last election but mostly I lost in the national election. I am totally confused about single issue votes and those that are still voting the way their parents told them to when they could affect real change to problems in our country. SAME S--T DIFFERENT DAY. I'M CONFUSED.
