DIVIDE OR UNITE BY PRESIDENT

I grew up starting with FDR and then HST. My first recollection of presidential discussion was between Ike and Taft. The next big debates were between JFK and Nixon. These and most of the following were about their respective thoughts about helping the American people have better and more prosperous lives and foreign affairs. I never heard any of them call their opponent names that depicted anything other than Americans. So, you can see that I was appalled when I heard our present president call me a threat to democracy because I voted for his rival. Our president told half of the American electorate that they were fascists and threatened American life as we know it. l am sure that he only read the teleprompter and did not make up those words because I really do not believe he knows where he is most of the time but any way his utterances were abhorrent and not a speech that any American should be orating.

Our president has not addressed any of the problems that Americans are facing know with only a gloss over of some of them. He has refused to obey his oath of office and follow the laws of the country by protecting our boarders. This has caused the great increases in drug smuggling and influx of criminals into our country. It has been reported that more than 70,000 people have died of fentanyl overdoses in 1 year with most of the drug coming across the Mexican/USA boarder. Our large democratically controlled cities and even states have seen increases in major crimes to the point many are moving out of them. New York state has a no bail law which has repeatedly allowed those arrested for major crimes back on the streets to commit more crime. One such person was released three times after robbing three banks. Others have committed crimes including murder while out with no bail required. I never heard anything about this problem except our president said it was the republicans' fault for not funding police which was a complete lie. He was talking about the big bill that did not pass the senate because of its size and would have caused even more inflation which seems to not be a problem for the president. Every middle-class American will lose about 1 month's wages to inflation this year and with the latest bill that was passed it may be even worse. He decided that we would go green without any plan to make up the energy void left when fossil fuels were stopped being produced and took us from a country that was independent for energy to one that is dependent on outside sources. The result is that gasoline is much higher even though the price has declined recently and the cost of heating your home has risen drastically. Asking people to buy electric cars that they cannot afford and then finding out that there is not enough electricity being produced to power them is the irrational rant by the president and most of the democratic party.

Fascism and Nazi are words that many, today, do not know their meaning. Fascism is a form of government ruled by a dictator and the government control of all business. Nazi is a term used for the National Socialist German Workers Party. The Germans and Italians were both ruled by Fascist governments during WWII. The Nazis in Germany were the cause of about 10,000,000 deaths. It is one of the cruelest forms of government and one of the evilest regimes in modern day history. For an American president to call anyone that lives in this country these names are in itself cruel and evil. We need a president that can forget political power for a few moments and do his job according to the oath he took. His divisiveness has caused many Americans to live at a lower standard and to be afraid to walk on many of our city streets alone. He and his fellow democratic party members that are in power are destroying our country faster than I would ever have believed possible. Hopefully, there will be some help this November when we can change the Congress to a more rational membership and force our president to do his job according to the laws of this country and his political cronies wishes.
