The state of Vermont has banned a Christian high school from any future basketball games because they refused to play against a team that included a transgender player that was over 6 foot tall and had injured a player previously. It was recently reported that there were more than 400 actions against Christians this year which is double from last year. The first amendment guarantees freedom of religion and that gets into the way of many that wish to force citizens into their ideology. Religion and speech have been attacked constantly to limit the amount of dissent against the left that is pushing socialism and many laws that force people to act against their religion. A couple of years ago we saw a baker in Colorado being sued by the government because he refused to decorate a same sex wedding cake. Other cases like this have been rampant in the last few years where anti-discrimination laws have been passed. We have seen speech be separated into different kinds of speech with hate speech becoming criminal. Our colleges and universities have limited speech that they deem hate or against their political bias rather that encouraging freedom of speech and thought. The latest test of the universities especially, the Ivy League has failed miserably with their antisemitic actions against the Jews in our country and in Israel. The assault on any opposition is the start of an autocratic society and history proves it.
Two thousand years of political study shows us what happens when a society becomes complacent and those in power expand their power until there is a complete dictatorship. Ancient Greece started as a democracy and ended in an autocratic society with a King. Ancient Rome started as a republic that voted for their government and ended with an emperor and complete dictatorship. These rulers replaced their gods with themselves and forced their citizens to worship them. A good reason to oppose religion that askes for morality and just government. In modern times we have seen many countries become autocratic with one of the latest being Venezuela. This country has fallen into the depths of despair with inflation and loss of freedoms. The attempt of anyone to oppose the dictator has met with imprisonment or worse and without a complete revolution there is little hope that this country can recover. Lately the dictator has refused to allow the acceptance of deportations back to Venezuela. This was a country rich in natural resources and with a very good future ahead of it but complacency and promises from the left leaning politicians allowed the subsequent power to be garnered into one man.
It is a shame that when we have a chance to vote in an election to modify or further our freedoms very few show up to the polls. The lack of interest in taking part in our elections allow many politicians to target a certain political ideology that seems to give people what they want without working for it. The easy life or government giveaways cause many to vote for one thing as we have seen in the abortion issue or social security. The threat of changing social security by one party can cause vote changes without looking into the party accused real actions or promises. It is used every year by the democrats although the democrats are the ones that have raised the taxes on social security and affected it more than the party, they accused of destroying it. The lack of interest and responsibility have allowed the politicians of this country to grow government and let it reach more and more into our lives with their tenacles. Our schools are trying to tell parents how to raise their children and even refusing to tell parents about problems with sexual orientation. When I was in school a teacher or administrator that even talked to me about sexual orientation and attempted to give me any drugs or hormones would have been convicted of a sex crime and sent to prison. Now it is common in many high schools and in some elementary schools. An Indiana family had their son removed from the home because they would not call him her. The state has decided that they can raise him or her better. The case is in court but why is it there in the first place. Government is into our lives more than ever and if they can indoctrinate our children in elementary and high school to add to the indoctrination in the colleges and universities it will not take many generations to completely destroy our form of government.
At the present rate of government infiltration into our lives and our president's refusal to follow his oath and follow the laws he was elected to do, we are heading into the destruction of our form of government rapidly. Watching a political party use the justice system to affect elections by removing candidates by edict in some states and by constant arrests and lawsuits is the same that we see in the third world. It amazes me that the justice system and the thousands of people involved work together to further one political party in conjunction with the media that has forgot how to report truth and make it up as they go. I'll give us 20 to 40 years before we approach Venezuela's government and with our growing national debt, we may see a true and complete failure of our economy before that. I hope and pray that we can elect people that are truly and sincerely committed to our form of government and start to reverse the damage that has been done in the last 15 years. Trump started to undo the damage but with lawlessness and a corrupt media they stopped that and are trying to repeat their actions in even a larger way. If the democrats win, I believe that we will be pass top dead center and beyond fixing. God help us!
